Our first big order of puddings and cakes is due for shipment the last week of this month, so the team have certainly been keeping themselves busy!
My team had a great (and successful) time at the GHA Home and Giving Fair in Homebush, great to catch up with previous customers, and to meet some new ones too!
Mudgee field days was held this past weekend, my team made the trip to Mudgee for the sixth time!
Fortunately the weather was great, my team always enjoy themselves in Mudgee, and it was great feeling as cold as an ice-block for only part of the weekend.
Lots of lovely people adopted puddings, with our award winning puddings finding new homes in various locations around NSW.
All our tasty puddings are made by hand, in our factory in Cardiff, NSW, so being handmade, sometimes some turn out a little... well, less than perfect.
If you’re fortunate enough to live (or be visiting) in the Newcastle region, why not pop into the factory and hand select your very own odd shaped (but still delicious) pudding.
If not, give us a call, and we can send them out to you. There’s always something on the specials board in this kitchen!
These interestingly shaped puddings still have a full two year shelf life, but aren’t fully ‘dressed’ like our puddings normally are.
This past week we’ve been producing our Traditional flavour, so we have a few that don’t look quite as good as we expect of ourselves, call now to grab these puddings at fabulously discounted prices.
In other factory news, next on the production line are our Gluten Free puddings (yes! they do exist, and yes!, they are DELICIOUS!). So the team have been busy making gluten free breadcrumbs, from fresh gluten free bread.
If you’ve ever eaten gluten free bread you may be able to imagine that this is not a fun job!
The stuff just has the most unexpected texture; we need to take that into account when we make the puddings too or it will impact on the finished result.
This weekend, the team will be at the Aroma festival, with a stall under the name of our ‘brother’ brand – Simply Stirred. (Just one of the few things my team and I get up to when we aren’t producing puddings).
We’d love some feedback from our customers on some new products that are just about to be launched, so come and say hi – we will have some secret samples under the counter – just for those that are in the know, and fill us in on your thoughts about our new range.
Plus, Ann will be wearing something silly on Sunday; the first person to tell her she is doing so, will win a pudding prize!
We will be located at the hub at the Northern end, just walk along the road, past the Overseas Passenger terminal.
Also happening this Friday to Sunday in Sydney is the Retirement and Lifestyle Expo at Rose hill Gardens.
Our team member, Sandy will be there with our range of Puddings, as well as products from our ‘brother’ and ‘sister’ brands Simply Stirred and Hill & River.
Pop in and say hi to Sandy and tempt your taste buds!
The first person to send me a photo of Sandy at the Expo will win a prize.
We’ve just submitted our entries into this year’s food awards so watch this space and we will let you know how we go. We know almost everyone loves our award winning puddings, this year we have submitted some of our new pudding products so we will be interested in seeing how the judges react.
Although we love to fill the office with award after award, our customers’ opinion is what matters to us most, so why not leave a comment letting us know which is your favourite Newcastle’s Pudding Lady product and why – the first to comment about their favourite pudding may well have a surprise heading their way!
